Making the decision to send your child to a Wilderness Therapy program is one of the biggest you will make at this phase of their lives. Typically, most children go from Wilderness to some sort of aftercare setting, such as a Residential Treatment Center or Therapeutic Boarding School. We think this is appropriate in only a limited number of cases. For most families, the intervention of Wilderness, when properly prepared for, is enough to realign the family dynamics sufficiently enough to allow their child to come home after completing their treatment. We have developed relationships with programs and therapists who are open to a shift towards preparing your child for returning home, rather than moving on to long term treatment post-wilderness. In the case that further treatment is indicated we have partnered with an Educational Consultant who understands our model and will be able to assist you in placement in the most appropriate setting.
